As we age the face skin looses volume which can make the face look less full and hollow. To restore youthfulness, dermal fillers are injected into the face. Fillers are used for the treatment of wrinkles and folds as well as lip plumping. At Skin 101 Medical Spa we can employ fillers to treat nasolabial folds (parenthesis around the mouth), marionette lines (the lines just below the corners of the lips), cheeks, tear troughs (dark under-eye circles).

Injectables are generally referred to as dermal fillers, they may be used as “liquid facelift”. Generally speaking, they are office-based procedures, easy to administer, long-lasting, and affordable. No one product is perfect and many times products can and should be used together to achieve the best results. As with all cosmetic procedures, results are a direct reflection of the injectable and the injector’s technique. Be cautious, all injectable products carry some risk.*

At Skin 101 Medical Spa, our dermal filler treatments for both men and women take about 30-45 minutes to administer, after which the patients return to their normal daily routines. Some of our patients need no further treatments after the first injections and other patients will elect to return in several weeks. The filler is eventually absorbed harmlessly by the body because each product is composed of natural ingredients. Treatment at Skin 101 Medical Spa takes about a half hour, after which most patients return directly to their normal activities. Results are immediate and can be fine tuned on the spot as required. Some people elect to come back for a touch up in several weeks, some need no further treatment for several months. Each product, composed of natural ingredients, is eventually absorbed harmlessly by the body.
