NovaThreads is a bidirectional suspension suture with resorbable cones. Each cone has a smooth, 360-degree surface that can provide an anchoring point in the subcutaneous tissue right away. Once implanted, NovaThreads can provide mechanical fixation of the tissue until collagen production and subsequent encapsulation of the suture in collagen can occur. This action will continue over time, naturally improving the volume and contours of the face.

How Does NovaThreads Work?

The NovaThreads treatment can reposition sagging tissue in or around the mid-face area into a higher and more youthful-looking position by inserting very fine and biodegradable sutures deep into your skin. The treatment’s effects will be immediate, painless, and should last for up to 18 months.

NovaThreads is composed of polyglycolide and L-lactide (PLGA). After being designed by U.S. scientists with expertise in reconstructive and aesthetic surgical procedures, this has a long and successful history of use as a well-tolerated resorbable suture.
